The mechanism of its operation is primarily the improvement of the nitrogen balance - increasing the nitrogen content. Nitrogen in a binding form is part of the protein. Positive nitrogen balance is a direct impulse for the growth of muscle cells because they assimilate a larger portion of protein than usual. Another excellent property of nandrolone is the ability to reduce the level of catabolic hormone - cortisol / cortisone by blocking cortisol receptors - the effect is strong anti-catabolic properties even during low calorie diets and storage of more water in the connective tissue which can affect the regression of joint pain. It is primarily intended for those who suffer from pain in the shoulders, shoulders, elbows and knees. Nandrolone also has a positive effect on calcium metabolism and increases bone mass, which is why it is often used in medicine in the treatment of osteoporosis. In practice, it gives good gains in muscle mass and strength as early as 3mg for every kilogram of body weight. Water retention occurs at higher doses, although it is not as strong as in the case of testosterone because nandrolone aromatizes (in about 20%) to less active norestrogen. The same applies to conversion to DHT - in the case of Nandrolone it converts to NORDHT, which is not as strong as its testosterone equivalent, thanks to which side effects from DHT are lower - there is rarely acne and hair loss.
